Dr. Laura Capati
Dr. Laura Capati grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and earned her bachelor's degree at Washington University in St. Louis. She went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine, then completed her three-year periodontic residency at St. Louis University.
Dr. Capati is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a distinguished credential that signifies she has achieved significant accomplishments beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. This board certification demonstrates her commitment to the highest standards of periodontal care and expertise.
She maintains active membership in the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, staying current with the latest advances in periodontal treatment and implant dentistry.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Capati is deeply committed to her family and community. She and her husband, Bill, are the proud parents of four young children: Charlotte, Cecilia, Caroline, and William Jr. The Capati family resides in St. Louis, where Dr. Capati enjoys balancing her passion for periodontics with quality time spent with her loved ones.
Samantha
Office Manager
Samantha serves as the office manager at Pristine Periodontics and Implants, where she has been an integral part of Dr. Capati's team since 2019. With experience in dentistry dating back to 2016, Samantha brings expertise and dedication to ensuring every patient receives exceptional care in a smoothly operating practice.
Samantha received her education and training at STLCC. She was drawn to the dental field because it uniquely blends healthcare with organization, communication, and patient interaction. Working in a structured environment where she can help coordinate care, support patients, and keep the office running smoothly is what she finds most fulfilling about her career.
"Working in dentistry requires close teamwork between hygienists, dentists, assistants, and front-desk staff," Samantha shares. "I love the synergy when we're all aligned on patient care goals. Each day brings a mix of tasks, and collaborating with people who care about quality makes it a really energizing environment."
When she's not at work, Samantha enjoys traveling, kayaking, and lounging on the beach. She values spending quality time with friends and family, embracing opportunities to relax and explore new places.
Danielle
Dental Hygienist
Danielle brings over a decade of dental experience and a genuine passion for patient care to her role as a dental hygienist at Pristine Periodontics. Her journey in dentistry began in 2011 as a dental assistant, and after joining our practice in 2017, she advanced to become a dental hygienist in 2021. She received her training at St. Louis Community College, where she developed the skills and knowledge to provide thorough, compassionate care to every patient.
Danielle was drawn to dentistry because it perfectly combines healthcare with hands-on work and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every single day. This philosophy guides her approach to patient care and makes her an invaluable member of our team.
When she's not caring for patients at Pristine Periodontics, Danielle loves spending time outdoors hiking, exploring new destinations through travel, and enjoying live music. She also has a creative side—crafting is one of her favorite hobbies, where she creates beautiful home décor and thoughtful handmade gifts for friends and family. Whether she's helping patients achieve healthier smiles or creating something special with her hands, Danielle brings dedication, warmth, and skill to everything she does.
Heather
Dental Assistant
Heather is a dedicated dental assistant at Pristine Periodontics and Implants, bringing over seven years of dental experience to our team. Her passion for patient care and commitment to excellence have already made her an invaluable member of our office.
Heather received her dental training through hands-on experience, learning from Dr. Haynes at the first dental practice where she worked in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This practical, mentorship-based education provided her with real-world skills and a strong foundation in patient-centered care.
"Helping someone feel confident with their smile can be incredibly rewarding," Heather shares. This patient-focused philosophy drives everything she does, from clinical assistance to the compassionate care she provides to every person who walks through our doors.
When she's not at work, Heather enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. She loves to cook and bake, exploring new recipes and sharing delicious meals with loved ones. Music is another passion. She enjoys listening to various genres in her downtime.
Tabatha
Dental Assistant
Tabatha is an experienced dental assistant at Pristine Periodontics & Implants, bringing nearly two decades of dental expertise to our team. With a career in dentistry that began in 2007, Tabatha joined Dr. Capati's practice in January 2025, where she continues to provide exceptional chairside assistance and patient care.
Tabatha received her dental training at Missouri College, where she developed the foundational skills that have served her throughout her successful career.
When asked about her favorite aspect of working with patients and the team, Tabatha emphasizes the importance of patient comfort. "Making patients feel comfortable" is at the heart of everything she does. Her calm, reassuring presence helps anxious patients relax and creates a positive dental experience for everyone who visits our practice.
Beyond spending quality time with friends and family, Tabatha has a passion for both gardening and travel. She loves cultivating plants and exploring new destinations, finding joy in connecting with nature and experiencing different places.
I had a gum graft surgery and a surgery for my tongue being tied. Everybody there was fantastic. They explained things every step of the way. Both surgeries were successful! They were all very professional and did fantastic work. I highly recommend!
